Shallow waters dynamics and its coastal ecosystem research and monitoring using remote sensing satellite

Widodo, before led the session, gave a foreword about his experiences in 2004, as a research fellow in CSIRO Marine Labs, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. He was ensemble 5 units KORDI’s robotic autonomous profiling floats (well known as the argo float), including checking/adjusting mission parameters, ensuring of components and testing satellite transmission with geo-station in Korea. KORDI is Korean Ocean Research Development Institute, which is now well known as KIOST.

Jakarta, October 2024. To enhance human resource capacity in the field of ocean technology as part of the implementation of the Official Development Assistance project titled “Establishment of an Application System for Managing Indonesia’s Water Using Korea’s Geostationary Satellite” (ODA Ocean Satellite), the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko Marves), the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea (MOF), the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA), together with the Korea-Indonesia Marine Technology Cooperation Research Center (MTCRC) as the coordinating body, organize a workshop titled “Korea-Indonesia Ocean Satellite International Workshop 2024.” The workshop has been held in Double-tree Hilton on October 21, 2024.

Being a Host for a Moment at Watu Belah

Cirebon, May 17, 2024, the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), Ir. Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, M.M., visited ITB Cirebon Campus as part of course of his Doctoral Studies in the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FEST) at ITB. The Minister had a morning course session at ITB Arjawinangun, followed by two afternoon sessions at ITB Watubelah.

In ITB Watubelah which also MTCRC Cirebon Center, the Minister was warmly welcomed by Ibu Ivonne M. Radjwane and Bapak Widodo S. Pranowo, representing MTCRC, along with Bapak Irwan Meilano (Dean of FEST ITB) and ITB lecturers.
